Feidin Santana spoke out about witnessing the moments leading up to Walter Scott being fatally shot by North
Charleston Police Officer Michael Slager. The man told NBC News that it
looked like the officer had the situation under control when he first
saw them, but things quickly went in the opposite direction.
Santana said that he heard Slager activate his taser when he was pulling out his cellphone to record, and believes that Scott started running because he was afraid of the weapon. He also adds that he never heard the officer say anything before shooting Wilson five times.
Slager was charged with murder over the incident and is being investigated by the FBI and Justice Department.
